Privacy policy

Your suppliers, invoices and prices are stored encrypted, on your own device. They do not sit on Supplee's servers. The only time any of that data leaves your device is when a document you upload is sent to our processing partner so the prices on it can be read. Supplee's servers never store it, and our partner deletes its copy within 30 days and never uses it for training.

To create and manage your Supplee Pro subscription we collect your name, email address, and payment details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor, we never see or store your card number ourselves. We keep a record of your subscription status so the app knows you're entitled to sign in.

Your supplier list, uploaded invoices and price lists, extracted prices, price history, baskets and orders are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. We do not have a copy, cannot see it, and cannot recover it for you if it's lost, back up your device as you normally would.

When you upload or photograph a document, it is sent to Anthropic, our processing partner, so it can extract the product names, prices, units and pack sizes on it. Alongside it, the app sends the names of the suppliers you already use and your restaurant's name, so the document is filed under the right supplier rather than under your own business. Anthropic processes all of this to return the result to the app, deletes it within 30 days, and never uses it to train any models. The Upload screen in the app says this at all times, next to the upload buttons.

Anthropic may process this data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, it is covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under UK data protection law.

If you record a price in a currency other than your account's own, the app converts it using historical exchange rates from Frankfurter, a free public reference-rate service run on European Central Bank data. Only a currency code and a date are sent (for example, "GBP to EUR, 1 June 2026") — never any supplier, product, price, or other personal or business data.

We don't store your supplier names, product catalogue, invoice contents, prices, or orders on our servers. A document and the names sent with it pass through our servers only to be read, and are never stored there; Anthropic deletes its copy within 30 days. Everything you keep stays encrypted on your own device. We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell personal data to anyone.

On your first visit to the website we ask whether we can use PostHog, an analytics tool, to understand how visitors use supplee.co.uk, which pages are viewed, and where people drop off (for example, partway through the onboarding questions). Nothing is loaded or recorded unless you accept, and declining has no effect on how the site works.

If you accept and later sign up or log in, we link that analytics activity to your account email so we can understand product usage rather than just anonymous site visits, this stays limited to your own usage patterns (pages viewed, features used, onboarding progress), never your suppliers, invoices, prices or orders. Signing out clears this link for that device, so a different person signing in afterwards isn't associated with your activity.

The app contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. It does not record what you do in it, does not measure your usage, does not identify you across other apps or websites, and shows no advertising. Everything you put into the app — your suppliers, invoices, prices and orders — is encrypted on your own device and never reaches our servers.

The website uses cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure, and, only if you accept the analytics prompt, a cookie set by PostHog to recognise repeat visits. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you (your account and subscription record), and to ask us to explain how it's used. Since your suppliers, invoices and prices live only on your device, deleting the app removes that data immediately and completely.

You can permanently delete your account yourself at any time from Settings on the website (or from Settings in the app, which links there) — this cancels any active subscription immediately and removes your account from our servers. For anything else relating to your account, contact [email protected].

We keep your account and subscription record for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterwards where we need to for accounting, fraud prevention or legal reasons. Device-held data is entirely under your control.

Supplee is a business tool for restaurants and kitchens and is not directed at, or intended for, children.

If we make a material change to this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let existing subscribers know by email.

Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected], or use our contact page.
